Jon Tetreault builds things
meant to hold.
I built things as a finish carpenter first. These days I teach people the security habits that keep their crypto theirs.
The waypoints
2016
Found bitcoin
A carpenter by trade, I went down the rabbit hole — and didn't come back up.
2018
Went full time
I put down the tools and went all-in on blockchain — writing, building, and learning in public.
The lesson
Lost 9 BTC
Security mistakes nobody had warned me about. The most expensive education of my life — and the reason for everything since.
Now
Running it forward
BlockFreedom for blockchain infrastructure; Blockchain Jon for plain-language security training — so nobody learns the way I did.
What I do
Plain language. Real habits. No shortcuts.
BlockFreedom
The infrastructure company I founded — running nodes and supporting the communities around projects building real things.
blockfreedom.net →Writing & speaking
Long-form explainers on digital ownership and blockchain gaming — including early, widely-read pieces on the Gala Games node ecosystem.
